About Zenhack.net
Zenhack.net is an independent software publication about programming languages, protocols, free software and self-hosting.
This domain previously hosted Ian Denhardt’s personal blog. The present publication is operated by a new publisher and is not affiliated with him. New posts are original explanations; they do not reproduce his writing or represent his opinions. His repositories remain upstream projects under their own maintainers.
The layout takes its cue from the site’s 2016–2023 software-blog era: readable type, a chronological index and ordinary links, with a subject sidebar and worked examples. Historical article addresses identify the original work, author and date, and link to archived versions. Current tutorials have their own addresses and edition dates.
Technical posts link to primary documentation and include small examples where a mechanism is easier to show than describe. Executable Python and C examples are checked locally; schema fragments, Haskell examples and protocol sketches are labeled as illustrative. The examples page collects the downloads.
The earlier reference collection remains accessible for readers with existing links. It is separate from the current post index and feed.
